Program Description

The School-Based Health Centers utilize a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare in order to promote the health and well being of youth.  The Health Centers, located at Alameda, Encinal and Island High Schools, serve students from ACLC, ASTI and BASE High Schools as well.  By offering free medical, mental health, health education and youth development services on school grounds, the Health Centers surmount barriers that can prevent youth from accessing care.  The Health Centers’ focus on prevention and early identification of risk factors aims to  reduce barriers to learning and to support families and our community.
