Davis Street

 

In the midst of the COVID-19 virus and shut downs, Davis Street has implemented strong emergency disaster and risk management protocols. Davis Street is going through extreme measures to protect our staff and volunteers to ultimately be suitable to serve and provide services to those that are still in-need. All Davis Street Staff have been trained to take extra precautions and are executing hygiene, and sanitization safety standards from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We want our community and clients to feel safe when coming onsite for our services. Below is an important list of updates for each department.

Basic Needs:

Davis Street’s Emergency Food Pantry will remain open Monday - Friday 10am – 5:00pm

We will offer the option for a drive-through grocery pick up. If any clients are not comfortable coming into the food warehouse and would like to schedule a drive-through food pick up, please text or call 510.561.9042

Davis Street’s Clothing Program will be closed and we will not be accepting any donations of clothing or household items until further notice. The only donations that will be accepted during this time are unexpired food items. Davis Street staff will be carefully sanitizing all donated food items before distributing to our clients.

Primary Care Clinic:

Davis Street’s Medical and Behavioral Services will remain open

Monday -Thursday 8am - 6pm, and Fridays 9am - 6pm.

Davis Street’s Dental and Optometry Services will remain closed until further notice.

Children’s Services:

Children’s services phone and operating hours will remain open Monday - Friday 9am – 5:30pm.

All April Provider Workshops will be postponed until further notice. 

Child Development Centers

Garfield, and Roosevelt Elementary Sites will be closed from March 16 to April 6, 2020.

Lakeside Site will remain open Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.

Jefferson Site will remain open Monday – Friday 7am -6pm.

Davis Street’s mission is to provide safety-net services for those in need and we will continue to do so at our greatest lengths with much safety and precautions for our staff and clients.
